Mr. Burger is currently a National Weather Service liaison meteorologist at the Federal Aviation Administration’s Kansas City Air Route Traffic Control Center. He has previously been employed as a forecaster and lead meteorologist at several National Weather Service field offices in California, and as an Incident Meteorologist, providing on-site weather support to the land management community during wildland fires across the western United States. Mr. Burger has also served as the President and President-Elect of the Joint Chapter of the Kansas City American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Kansas and a Master of Business Administration degree from Colorado State University.
